“How you respond to the challenge in the second half will determine what you become after the game, whether you are a winner or a loser.”
Rob was a cheerleader for Drexel University, for the Philadelphia Soul Arena Football Team, and for the Philadelphia 76ers NBA Team. He coached the co-ed cheerleading team for Temple University and currently teaches Acro wherever he goes, including at Acro festivals and workshops across the country and in parts of Asia. Partnering up with Aqua Vida, he even started SUP (Stand-Up Paddleboard) Acro in Philly as well as developed Pole Acro Workshops. He started the PhillyAcro program and co-hosted an Acro Intensival featuring World Champions and Cirque du Soleil coaches for intermediate and advanced level acrobats. Sometimes you can find him on stage performing or competing while incorporating Acro in his choreography. Utilizing his skill sets, he and his team of talented Acrobats, Aerialists, Polers, and Dancers won the coveted Diamond G String Award in 2018.
If you do the math, he has been tossing people around in the air for about 3 decades. Recently, he founded Active Elixir, a start-up company that creates apparel for people of movement, including acrobats, pole dancers, and yogis, while providing solutions to clothing concerns. He is also known for his dramatic style photography that often displays the strength and beauty of the subject in empowering ways. Sometimes they happen to be on another person, on a pole, or on a Lyra.
Rob is also on a journey to lift 10,000 people in various acro poses around the world. He surpassed his original goal of lifting 2,017 people before the end of 2017 with 2,301 different people. He’s been featured on Fox 29, 6ABC, CBS3, and Philadelphia Magazine. If anyone wants to be Insta-Famous and be part of the challenge, Rob will gladly lift them up. Bodies of all shapes and sizes are welcome. No experience necessary. Come get a cool picture taken doing something awesome and be part of something amazing.
